EFM records was founded in 2008 and is the brain child of record producer Dito Godwin. Godwin is a multi platinum award winning producer who's credits include No Doubt, members of Kiss, the promotion of Motley Crue's "Too Fast For LOVE" CD and the list goes on.
In the mid 90's Godwin became V.P. of T.N.T. Records, an Encino Ca. based indie label. Dito left T.N.T. Records after five successful years to pursue his production career and consult for a number music industry companies. Always lurking was the need to reform another record company, one that is pointed at the future and signing unique and talented artists. It happened.
EFM (located in West Hollywood, Ca.) is a label designed for the artist who is major label challenged. This label looks for the same qualities in an artist as a major, that being great material, image, performance ability and a loyalty to fans and team. Efm's M.O. is to work with artists who are focused and ready. The label is staffed with hand picked industry professionals all with major backgrounds. The idea behind efm records is to launch each signed artist with the entire company concentrating on success.
Slated for a late spring release is
* Stephen Duffy a mega talented singer/songwriter who's material is a cross of 21st century punk and alternative rock. Efm will release a single to be followed by a full CD, video and touring.
* Kevin Carlberg former lead singer and songwriter for Interscope Records "Pseudopod" a group that received Rolling Stone's best college band in America award and toured with the likes of Maroon 5, Blues Traveler and Sheryl Crow to mention a few.
* Carlton Pride, reggae artist extraordinaire who happens to be the son of country legend Charley Pride.
In Development
* Kathryn Gallagher a young beautiful singer songwriter who (at 15 years old) has the soul and stage presence of a seasoned performer. She recently showcased at the Whisky in Hollywood and wowed a packed house. Her father is film and TV star Peter Gallagher. Efm is in talks with super singer singer/songwriter
* Mike Stone. Mike formally with metal giant Queensryche and Peter Criss of Kiss fame is striking out on his own and may be the next to sign with efm.
Efm records is a company to watch for in the very near future setting a trend for the next generation of music and music makers.
